MA DigiDCL and Macromedia University jointly organize an online seminar entitled <<Campaigning and Understanding Media Channels>>. The seminar will be hosted by Prof. Dr. Vasilis Hatzopoulos (Athens) and Prof. Dr. Gernot Wolfram (Berlin) on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 18:00 to 20:30 (EET).
Overview:
Today's political and business communications are delivered through social media channels. To be successful, campaigns must engage and connect with specific digital audiences. This suggests that traditional media such as daily newspapers, TV and radio are no longer as relevant as platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. According to recent data, the latter are gaining massive relevance, especially in terms of time spent, not just reach.
In light of the upcoming 2024 European Elections, this seminar will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with contemporary campaign strategies. The aim is to formulate European solutions that prioritize a democracy-sensitive approach to the conceptualization and communication of campaign content within the business and political spheres.
In this context, Greek and German students, actively participating in the seminar, will work in groups to develop practical solutions to these challenges.
