Koryschades, Evritania

MA DigiDCL offers a face-to-face Bootcamp organized every year in one of the most welcoming and famous Greek destinations, combining jumpstart team building activities, cultural and nature discovery experiences with a co-creative program, engaging all participants, faculty, and guest speakers into teamwork, igniting talks, exploring, and reflecting on the digital -virtual landscape and its various transformations and challenges. During the Bootcamp, the participants will get a first deep dive into innovative research methods and get a first hands-on experience on how to explore and understand our ever-evolving digital social worlds, practices, and relationships. The academic aim of the Bootcamp is double and consists of a) levelling up students from different backgrounds on issues of digital transformation in order to prepare them for the first semester and b) introducing students to innovative methods of design-thinking and co-creation, which are key for capturing and turning to one's benefit digital transformation. The sociological objective of the Bootcamp is of equal importance, as it is conceived as a crucial step towards teambuilding between students and between students and their instructors. This is of special importance for a program which will be essentially run at a distance.

For its importance, the Bootcamp is absolutely compulsory in its entirety for all participants. Students missing the Bootcamp will be eliminated from MA DigiDCL, unless they are in a position to substantiate a very serious and unforeseen impediment to their participation. Logistics: Students are expected to arrive to the Bootcamp's venue on September 27th in the afternoon, or on September 28th early in the morning, for them to participate in the morning session starting at 09.30 or 10.00, at the latest. MA DigiDCL will help students coordinate joint rides to the venue and/or will organise a group transfer by coach. Students will have to bear their personal costs (travel, food, accommodation, for-fee activities and visits) at prices especially negotiated by DigiDCL (indicatively, the total budget for the four nights should not exceed 350-400 euros). Common activities, events and accommodation booking will be taken care of by MA DigiDCL. Upon registration for the Bootcamp students will have to declare whether they prefer a single or a shared room and whether they are ready to share with a student from the opposite sex. The precise program of the Bootcamp will be announced at a later date.
